• Minimum rental age: from 21 to 25 years (depending on the country), with valid driver's license for at least one year. Some restrictions apply. In Italy an International Driver License* is mandatory and advisable in other countries. • The vehicles shown are examples. Car reservations are made by car group and not by car model within a category. Specific models within a car class may vary in availability and features such as passenger seating, and luggage capacity. Reservations for specific models will not be accepted
• Rental days are on a 24-hour basis, starting at beginning of rental. There is a grace period of 29 minutes before charging one full day rental at local rates plus IVA tax. • In addition to the voucher, client must be in possession of at least one major credit card at the beginning of the rental to cover any incidental charges not covered by the voucher such as refueling.
• Young Driver's Age: 21 to 24 (depending on the country) are charged at a supplement to be paid locally. Not available in Greece. • Free drop-off at Hertz stations within a country - restrictions may vary depending on country, car group or locations

  General Information & Insurance

Driving License And Minimum Age - A valid license issued at least 12 months before is needed. Customer must be minimum: 19 years old to rent cars up to 1900 engine power; 25 years old for cars with higher engine Power; Customers under 23 years old will be charged locally additional fees; Second driver must meet same requirements as the first driver. An extra charge will be applied.

Credit Cards - Renter must present at time of rental a valid credit card, in his own name, with available credit. Major credit cards are accepted.

Vehicle Return - Rental days are based on 24 hours periods starting at the time the vehicle is collected. Late return over 24 hours and 59 minutes will be subject to an additional day charge.

Third Party Liability Insurance, RCA - Maggiore's RCA guarantees as insurance against civil liability for causing death or bodily injury to third parties or damage to animals and property up to a maximum of 15.000.000 euro.

TERMS & CONDITIONS AVIS EUROPE

All rentals are based on 24 hour periods, a full day is charged for any portion of a day that the vehicle is used. Rentals always include liability insurance. Additional insurances are available upon request. In most locations Avis offers a wide range of extras, e.g.: child seats, mobile GPS, winter equipment, ski racks, prepaid gas option ( PGO ) and more. Additional fees apply. Additional Driver

Are accepted in all Avis countries. Additional drivers have to present their own valid drivers license. Additional fees and surcharges may apply.


Age

The minimum rental age is 21 years. In some countries the minimum age is 18 years for defined car groups. A Young Driver Surcharge may apply up to 25 years. Please see country details, or contact Avis.


Cross Border Rentals

Delivery & Collection & Out of hour rentals

Available in all destination countries. Please create reservations on request status only. Location will inform about availability and costs when returning the reservation.


Drivers License

Driver must hold the drivers license at least for 12 months.


Gas

Avis recommends returning the car with a full tank of gas to avoid refueling fees. Please ask for the prepaid gas option, which allows returning the car hassle free without refueling.


One Way Rental

Domestic one way rentals are allowed. Fee may apply. For international one ways please contact Avis. Special Equipment
